Official Journal of the European Specialist Nurses Organization
About the Journal
World of Health is a peer-reviewed health journal that publishes original articles aimed at improving science in all fields of health care in Europe and across the world. World of Health is published twice per year in English language with translation in Croatian. World of Health is the official journal of the European Specialist Nurses Organization published by Publicatio Medica. All authors are welcomed to submit papers in the form of research findings, systematic/ methodological or literature review, case reports and letters to editor.
Authorship
All individuals designated as authors must meet authorship criteria and be appropriately listed. Each author should have made a significant contribution to the work and must take public responsibility for relevant portions of the content. Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section. Authors share responsibility for maintaining the integrity of the entire work, from its inception to publication. All submitted manuscript will be screened for plagiarism. By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to its evaluation for plagiarism against previously published works. Financial and material support must also be acknowledged accordingly.
References
References should be numbered sequentially in the order they first appear in the text and identified in the text, tables, and legends using Arabic numerals in superscript.
The reference style must adhere to the NLM standards as described in the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals: Sample References, available at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/uniform_requirements.html.
Unpublished articles that have been accepted for publication should be marked as “in press.” For electronic publications ahead of print, a DOI must be provided.
Only essential references should be included to maintain conciseness. Excessively long reference lists are discouraged. Authors are requested to limit references to a maximum of 50. Every citation in the text must correspond to a reference in the list, and vice versa. References should be the most current and relevant available on the topic.
Editorial Process
Upon manuscript submission, authors will receive a confirmation receipt. Each manuscript undergoes anonymous peer review by two independent reviewers. The World of Health Journal is dedicated to maintaining high peer review standards and fairness, ensuring confidentiality throughout the process.
Authors may suggest up to five potential reviewers (excluding co-authors or collaborators within the past three years) or request the exclusion of specific reviewers with justification. The Editorial Board reserves the right to accept or decline these suggestions. Authors should carefully consider and address reviewer feedback when revising their manuscript, clearly explaining any amendments made.
Manuscripts requiring major revisions from more than one reviewer are re-evaluated by the same reviewers after resubmission. The final acceptance decision rests with the Editorial Board, based on reviewers’ recommendations.
Authors of accepted papers will receive a confirmation letter, and the corresponding author will be provided with a page-proof version for final error corrections before printing. The World of Health Journal follows the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals updated January 2025 by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors and adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines for ethical publishing practices.
Open Access Policy World of Health follows the Diamond Open Access model, offering free access to all published articles. There are no author charges, and all articles undergo rigorous peer review before publication. Manuscripts are available at our website to all users immediately upon publication.
