Abstract:
Dear readers,
Before you is the new, now seventh issue of the journal World of Health. In this issue, we publish 13 contributions in Croatian and English, including five scientific papers from various fields of biomedicine and health care, four review articles, three professional papers, and one book review.
The original scientific papers provide insights from radiologic technology (Attitudes of Radiologic Technology Students Regarding the Role of the Radiologic Technologist in Percutaneous Coronary Interventions Teams), midwifery (Comparison of Quality of Life of Mothers of Preterm and Term-Born Children During the First Year of the Child’s Life), and physiotherapy (The Connection Between Physical Activity and Professional Burnout Syndrome Among Physiotherapists in Croatia, The Impact of Organized Exercise on Motor Outcomes in Obese Individuals, and Palmar Cooling and Physiological Response to Aerobic Physical Activity).
Review articles cover nursing (Virtual Reality in the Education of Instrumentation Technicians for Nurses/Technicians), clinical nutrition (The Difference in Intestinal Microbiota Between Breast-Fed and Formula-Fed Children), ethics (The Necessity of Ethics in the Midwifery Profession: From Constructing Professional Identity to Defining Everyday Midwifery Practice), and statistics in biomedicine (Introduction to Sample and Sampling in Biomedicine).
Professional papers address various topics—deaf and hard-of-hearing persons and sports (Project “With the Wind Through Silence” – Bringing Together Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Persons, Persons with Disabilities, and Children with Developmental Difficulties through Sailing), social inclusion of youth (Social Inclusion of Youth with Difficulties Through Mentorship Programs), and eating disorders (Physiotherapy of Eating Disorders). We also hope you enjoy reading the book review of Guide to Evidence-Based Physical Therapist Practice – 5th edition.
We thank all authors, editorial staff, and the editorial board members whose dedicated work and enthusiasm make the regular publication of the journal possible.
